Quay Quarters are located on Apuldram Manor Farm, a 650- acre arable and dairy farm, just 2 miles south of Chichester, in an area of outstanding natural beauty
. There are many picturesque walks right from our doorstep. Many visitors to Dell Quay are walkers and artists, as well as sailors, all enjoying the hospitality of The Crown & Anchor Inn
and the spectacular views across Chichester Harbour
. We are perfectly situated for families wishing to involve themselves in sailing pursuits in Chichester Harbour but equally for those needing a base from which to explore the beautiful surroundings of Sussex and Hampshire, with easy access, by bus or car, to the South Downs National Park.
The area is the setting for local author Kate Mosse’s gothic masterpiece, The Taxidermist’s Daughter.
The award winning beach at West Wittering, a 10 minute drive away, is just one of the many local attractions, others include Chichester Cathedral, The Festival Theatre and Fishbourne Roman Palace. Glorious Goodwood with its Festival of Speed and ‘Revival’ is close by, as are Arundel Castle, West Dean Gardens and the Weald and Downland Museum.
Alternatively, if you just want to get away from it all and relax, feel free to stay at the farm and enjoy the wonderful, relaxing surroundings of the Rose Garden, walk to Dell Quay, or take a trip to the famous West Witterings Beach.
